I’ve done this design of white flowers on navy before, but it was quite some time before this website, so with a better camera, I decided to bring this design back, just for NailPolishHappy.com.
I used a nail design dotting tool, and several nail polishes:
OPI Nail Lacquer – Blue My Mind
Pure Ice – Super Star
Pure Ice – Studette
Because blue tends to bleed when you use a top coat clear nail poish, I did not use a top coat, but I did use a thin base coast by Pure Ice.
When you dot the flower petals, you dot them in a pentagon shape, with a larger dotting tool. The middle of the flower, wait to dot when the white is completely dry. You can substitute the gold color with another color like yellow. However, with the gold, I had to go over it a second time, as the blue liked to show through the 1st coast of gold.
Another tip, be careful when dotting the corners, and remember where your hands are. You can easily mess up what you just dotted.
